At a defining moment when global corporations are moving from sustainability commitments to evidence-based governance, Taiwan's O'right was honoured with two major awards at the Reuters Global Sustainability Awards 2025 in London: the Net Zero Transformation Award and the Net Zero Supply Chain Decarbonisation Award.

Out of the three global Net Zero categories, O'right captured two — the only brand worldwide to do so, and the standout among more than 800 participating companies across finance, energy, manufacturing, technology and beauty. As a small and medium-sized enterprise from Taiwan, O'right rose above leading global enterprises and placed “Taiwan” in the international spotlight.

Good to know

O'right won two of the three global Net Zero categories at the Reuters Global Sustainability Awards 2025 — the only brand worldwide to do so among 800+ companies. Its carbon neutrality is verified to ISO 14068-1 at both the organisational and product level, with SGS third-party assurance.

A model of sustainability governance for SMEs

The Reuters judging committee praised O'right for demonstrating “exceptional sustainability leadership” and for taking “a bold and scalable approach” that “successfully decarbonized consumer products, setting an example for many large corporations to follow.” The remarks became one of the most applauded moments of the ceremony, reflecting international recognition of the institutional strength of Taiwan's smaller companies.

From climate disclosure to supply-chain net zero

O'right is among the earliest SMEs in Asia to adopt both the TCFD (climate-related) and TNFD (nature-related) disclosure frameworks. Backed by SGS third-party verification and aligned with ISO 14068-1, it has achieved carbon neutrality at both the organisational and product levels, so that every disclosure and data point can be verified and traced. The company also met its RE100 commitment to 100% renewable electricity two years ahead of schedule.

The case behind the Net Zero Supply Chain Decarbonisation Award was O'right's collaboration with FamilyMart to develop a Bio Sustainable Beauty series built around recycled coffee grounds, making product carbon footprints transparent across business, retail and consumers.

Taiwan as a global example of net-zero governance

O'right's governance model goes beyond carbon reduction, integrating climate risk, natural capital and supply-chain oversight into corporate decision-making. Through its ESG control systems and third-party verification, each sustainability goal is linked to measurable data. The approach has been referenced by EU policymakers and academic institutions as a model for how SMEs can implement net-zero governance.

Sustainability is no longer about image. The future belongs not to those who talk the most about being green, but to those who can be verified, audited, and trusted.

Why this matters for SMEs

From brand action to system innovation, O'right's win is concrete proof that smaller companies can advance onto the global stage through institutional strength — turning “Taiwan” into a symbol of trust in global net-zero governance.
