Along our journey to turn agricultural waste into valuable beauty ingredients, we discovered that a by-product of Kaoliang Liquor known as natural spent grains (sorghum distillery residue or spent sorghum grains) has been shown to contain health and skin care benefits. Brewed with ancient Chinese methods, Kinmen Kaoliang Liquor is distilled and fermented twice, which allows for an abundance of sorghum ingredients to be obtained. O'right partnered with National Chung-Shan Institute of Science & Technology to obtain a utility patent, using ultrasonic technology to reserve the maximum amount of active skin brightening ingredients from sorghum.
